"Hi there, welcome to Kaori's FM! My name is Kaori and I recently turned 21. I'm not very good at introducing myself.. But here goes my first attempt in podcasting about my life! Please don't close the window just yet because I can assure you that my podcast is not going to turn into some melodramatic girl talk. I am an avid blogger, and I post my studies that I collect for my personal research that I am doing. My goal in my research is to find a way to confirm spirituality through philosophy so it can be less known as the new age mysticism and more so as something we all can be aware of and learn from. By blogging, it keeps me motivated to research further because I really do enjoy keeping in touch with my readers, and updating them on my new information. I read a lot of books and post reviews and what I learned from them. I also like to analyze my personal spiritual experiences that I often have in my dreams.  What I believe in, so far, is that dreams are where our imaginations are created, while memories are created in our waking life. Therefore by putting the two together, we create sense out of the present. The past is in our sleep. And the future, we will never know for sure, but we can expect what could be 10 minutes from now by relying on the information we know as of now. Therefore, memories from the past are fabricated with imagination in our sleep, so that they can help foreshadow our future. Now does this mean that we know everything? Not necessarily. Because, memories are so inaccurate. I will definitely get back to this topic on memory and imagination in another talk if you could join me again here on my FM but I don't want to bore you too much with a loong lecture so, thank you for listening and I hope that you enjoyed my introduction. Have a wonderful day, and if you have some spare time, please come and check out my blog! It's at kmaslights.com and that's spelled kmaslights .com, k m a s, l i g h t s.  Thank you again for listening

Dreams don't seem to last these days :-(

Also, I can't tell whether I'm missing you too much or kind of starting to forget you.

Kookoo and Jamsie in Chicago!

It's been at least three years (high school grad...) since we've had enough time to fully catch up and hang out together. That is just way too unreasonably long and wrong, considering that we are BEST OF FRIENDS!
I brought her to the fake beach of Chicago just to show her how Midwest can also try to look breezy and Californian.

I miss first year a lot. I got so much more work done being drunk than sober, more awake than asleep in a day, more outdoorsy and productive, etc.
Ufff, just 4 more weeks until this semester is over..

The world is co-dependent and nobody is capable of existing by himself alone. Autism is a part of our society to make the world a better place - a huge part of evolution; a big wake-up call to our lack of love and faith in ourselves.

Believe and hope, always dream. Autistic children have gifts we are not aware of, a gift which society disregards. Society often forgives the criminal; it never forgives the dreamer...
Autistic children are born dreamers.

Three of us orientation leaders, brought the new incoming international students to a Greek restaurant. This dinner taught me two things:
1) Greek coffee is stronger than any other beans out there and must never be underestimated
2) What it feels like to be insanely wired up on Greek coffee and not knowing how to stop giggling like a creeper maniac
